• Architectural Styles: A survey of diverse architectural styles found in South Asian temples.
• Iconography and Symbolism: Deciphering the meaning and symbolism embedded in temple imagery and design.

Module 3: Socio-Cultural and Spiritual Dimensions

• Social, Economic, Cultural, Artistic, and Architectural Significance: Examining the multifaceted roles temples play in society.
• Utsavas (Festivals): Exploring the significance of temple festivals and their impact on the community.
• Regional History and Fine Arts: Understanding the relationship between temple art and the regional history it reflects.
• Tīrthakṣētra and Tīrthayātrā (Pilgrimage Sites and Pilgrimage): The significance of temples as pilgrimage destinations.
• Dēvadāsīs’ Contributions: Exploring the historical role of Dēvadāsīs in temple traditions.
